Hospital HVAC contractor in Saudi Arabia

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning for clinical spaces, where temperature, humidity, air pressure and filtration are part of the clinical environment, installed and balanced to the specified conditions.

Why hospital HVAC is different

Hospital HVAC does more than keep a building comfortable. It controls the clinical environment: temperature and humidity within the limits that equipment and procedures need, air changes that dilute contamination, filtration that removes particles, and the pressure relationship between rooms so that air flows from cleaner areas towards less clean ones. Operating rooms are typically supplied with filtered air under positive pressure, isolation rooms are held at negative pressure so contaminated air does not escape, and imaging rooms such as MRI and CT need tight temperature and humidity control for the equipment. Ducts that cross a shielded wall must do so without breaking the shield. EGC installs HVAC systems for healthcare projects, coordinating duct routes, diffusers and controls with the ceilings, shielding and other services, and balancing and testing the system to the specified conditions before handover.

HVAC is part of healthcare MEP and is coordinated with medical gas, fire protection and the shielding in imaging rooms.

Where we install it

  • Operating theatres
  • Isolation and intensive-care rooms
  • Imaging departments
  • Wards and patient rooms
  • Clinics and day-care areas

What we install

  • Ductwork, diffusers and filtration
  • Air-handling and fan-coil equipment
  • Pressure-controlled rooms, positive and negative
  • Controls and integration with building management
  • Penetration details through shielded and fire-rated walls
  • Testing, balancing and commissioning

What the air has to do, by room

What the air has to do, by room
RoomWhat the HVAC has to achieve
Operating roomsFiltered supply air, positive pressure and controlled temperature and humidity
Isolation roomsNegative pressure so contaminated air does not leave the room
Imaging rooms (MRI, CT, PET-CT)Stable temperature and humidity for the equipment, with ducts crossing the shield correctly
Wards and patient roomsComfort, ventilation and the air changes needed for infection control

How we deliver it

  1. Agree conditions and routes

We take the design conditions and agree duct routes with the other trades.

  2. Install

Ductwork, equipment and controls are installed to the design.

  3. Test and balance

Airflows and pressures are tested and balanced room by room.

  4. Commission and hand over

The system is commissioned and records handed over.
